Candidate for Fifth District Cass County Commissioner
Hi, I'm George Blessing, a candidate for Cass County Fifth District Commissioner. My qualifications for this position are second to none.
My descendents settled in the Fifth District, southwest of Plattsmouth, in the mid 1860s. I’ve lived in Cass County for 70 years and in district five for 50 years. I’ve served on the 5-person Murray Village Board 35+ years, during which time I was instrumental in street-paving projects, the installation of a new water tower, building a new Village Hall, the beginnings of a curb and gutter project, building a new Young Memorial Park concession stand, joining Murray to the Beaver Lake waste-water treatment facility, updating the Young Memorial Park baseball field, and installing a new emergency warning siren. My wife Patricia and I have owned and operated a successful family business for more than 40 years in the Fifth District. We have two grown children, George IV and Angela. I am quite familiar with the people of the fifth district, understand their wants and needs, and know what it takes to get the job done. I would appreciate your vote May 15th,2012.
